Constellation Consulting General Consultant Jim Harvey has more than 30 years of management experience for nonprofit health and social service programs.
He specializes in successful application of Organizational Development skills to assess, develop and deliver national capacity building assistance services resulting in effective program management.
Jim has served as a consultant with Worldways Social Marketing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Bureau of Primary Health Care, and the Illinois African American Coalition for Prevention. His notable career achievements include managing a $7 million Public Health Emergency Preparedness program for the Red Cross; serving as an onsite trainer for the HIV program for NGOs in South Africa; and serving as a grant review team member and lead team member for grant applications to the CDC, Office of Women's Health, Health Resources, and services Administration.
Jim has developed framework for strategic plan health equity and social justice components; designed and implemented a community assessment and mobilization program social marketing campaign; and led needs assessment consultations for capacity building in communities of color responding to HIV/AIDS. He has served on multiple boards, including for Bernell Adult Charter High School and the New Mexico Gay Men's Chorus, and currently serves as a board member for the New Mexico Storytime Telling Troupe and as a member of the Albuquerque Mayor's Task Force on Sexual and Domestic Violence.
Jim has a bachelors from Roosevelt University, and received his MPH from St. Louis University School of Public Health/Community Health. Additionally, he holds multiple certifications related to domestic violence and public health work.
