Lead Policy Consultant Paul Sanchez-Hindi is an experienced operations, fiscal management, human resources, fundraising, and advocacy manager with more than 20 years of experience in health related policy advocacy in New Mexico.
His work experience includes a broad spectrum of events and community activities, including serving as a community liaison to local, and state government agencies.Paul has experience in managing budgets; compiling and analyzing data to reflect performance, productivity, and activity; and utilizing quality management methods and techniques to improve performance and processes.
He has served as a leadership volunteer with multiple organizations, including the New Mexico Allied Council on Tobacco the New Mexico Cancer Council, the Chronic Disease Prevention Council, and and more.
Paul worked directly with Dr. Barbara McAnany, the current President of the American Medical Association, to focus on New Mexico’s tobacco control, prevention, and cessation issues and to advocate for the many healthcare professionals, patients, and families who were feeling the economic and health impacts of tobacco use in our state.
Paul attended New Mexico State University with a focus on business administration and nursing. He is president of the New Mexico Medical Group Management Association, and is a past chair of the Chronic Disease Prevention Council Steering Committee.
