Maria Hart-Salinas is a dedicated community leader with experience in education, community building, recruitment, and grant management. Having grown up in El Paso, TX, Maria was exposed to a wide array of barriers facing low-income, first generation, multi-lingual communities and families. She has dedicated her professional life to help lessen the barriers and close the achievement gaps for the most underserved individuals across Pennsylvania, Arizona, Texas, and now New Mexico.

In her most recent role, Maria served as Program Manager for College Knowing & Going in Arizona, a non-profit grant program dedicated to providing targeted and data-informed interventions that help students successfully transition from high school to a high-value postsecondary training opportunity. As a recent New Mexico resident, Maria looks forward to engaging with community leaders, advocates, and individuals to continue improving the lives of New Mexicans for many years to come. She loves exploring new bookstores, journaling, going out to parks, and exploring museums with her husband, two sons, and miniature poodle.
